The idea for this anagram and wordplay site came from years of writing and running pub and club quiz nights. People tend to arrive at different times, so to avoid early arrivals becoming bored, I give them a sheet from which they must find anagrams linked to a theme. The way that people look for anagrams varies, but a common method is to arrange the letters in a circle, pick letters to make words and then see what is left. I use a thesaurus to search for anagrams themes. I've been doing this for so long now that I tend to seek anagrams in most common things I see. The source for my anagrams themes is the Concise Oxford Thesaurus. As for the other word games here, the quizzes are a cut down version of my weekly club quiz, and the Connect 3 games were introduced for further entertainment. I look for these links in the Concise Oxford Dictionary. If you get as much fun from attempting my puzzles as I do in writing them, then that'll do for me. Les H

My secret quick links. Don't use these as most are not on my website. They include ones I've removed to make space for more popular games, and some that were total rubbish.
